Origami Cranes

I found this picture of a hanging lamp made with origami paper cranes. I really like this idea and want to try it someday (when time permits). I haven't decided yet if I want to make birds (as in this picture) or hearts (my favorite). Also, I haven't decided yet if I want to use multi-colored paper or only shades of pink and red. More to come...
Here's one more picture I found with the same hanging lamp. I love it, I love it, I love it!!
More paper cranes...
Even a picture of it on one of my favorite blogs

Valentine's Day Collage Picture Frame

Here is my version of a Valentine's Day Collage. Too bad I broke the glass. So it's glassless. Still cute. Eventually I will just have to replace the glass.

Stampin' Up - Valentine's Day Theme

I made the following cards using Stampin' Up! products & tools at a Valentines themed workshop. It's so much fun going to these workshops. The product demonstrator lays out all the materials. Then all of us ladies sit together at a table (four tables at this workshop) and work alongside each other creating our cards. We chat, share stories, give each other tips and compliments. It's really a fun, relaxing way to spend some time. And if you're like me and have the need to get crafty once in awhile then this is the hobby for you.
This card I made with two different backgrounds. For the card on the right I used a card stock with an XOX design and then I also used rhinestones. The card on the left I used a paper with small hearts and instead of the rhinestones I used pearls.
This is my least favorite. You can't tell but one of the bubblegum hearts has a thick backing so it has a pop up effect. This card reminds me of something you'd give a man. Not girly enough.
You can't tell but I used iridescent glitter around and inside the hearts. The white paper is really nice, it's textured.
This card is my favorite! I've already framed one of them in an IKEA memory box. Right now I have it sitting on a table in the kitchen but just as soon as my boyfriend gets home from work, I'll ask him to hang it up on the wall for me.

I used chalk to color in the stamp of the little girl. Then I used a blender pen to create the watercolor effect. It's supposed to be an old fashioned or antique themed type of card. Not really something I'm very interested in. I usually go for cute stuff.
